Adopt a Tree

Trees for Life – your chance to ‘Adopt a Tree’ for £5 or 10 for £40 as one of our members suggested this would be a good way to remember loved ones by or buy a Christmas or Birthday present for someone or mark the Birth of a Baby and it will also help increase the ‘Upper Cormonachan Paths Project Fund’ too. A standardised small plaque could be added to a tree to be arranged later, at cost; a small plaque would cost £5.95 inc. free postage from our recommended supplier ( ) and we could supply a post for about £3.00. You would have five lines to create your message of your choice to place before a tree or a grove.

We have to point out that at present these trees are very small but will have protection and canes to spot them for the first few years but they will grow as they are native trees to the area.

On Friday 22nd November 2019, our volunteers planted 105 replacement Oaks and other deciduous trees (Rowan, Hawthorn, Hazel, Blackthorn & Silver Birch), south from the Contemplation Shelter away from the proposed new paths. These will replace 84 Sitka spruce and 8 Larch that have still to be felled by Forestry and Land Scotland along the new path route.

You can book a tree or trees by sending cash or a cheque to the Cormonachan Woodlands Association, Cruach House, Carrick Castle, Argyll, PA24 8AF.

Small oak trees grow into large oak trees and last for hundreds of years!

55 trees have already been adopted as at 25th February 2020.
