Carrick Fayre – Sunday afternoon 14th July 2019

The Cormonachan Woodlands Association had its marquee at the Carrick Fayre on Carrick Castle green that was run by Douglas Locke, Secretary and Dennis Bolt, Membership Secretary. The weather was perfect for the event and it was very well attended and obviously enjoyed by all. Eight new members joined the Association on the day, bringing the membership up to 112 and a further six said they would join after the event taking away membership forms to complete. Several Cormonachan Woodlands Association mugs were sold in aid of the ‘Upper Cormonachan Paths Project Fund’ with additional donations made in the donation boxes adding £59.78 to the fund that stands at £3,713.13 towards our target of £13,500 over the coming year.
Now that the Association has planning permission for the Upper Cormonachan Paths Project to extend the paths network by further 2 km giving access to the waterfalls and the old village, we are now able to apply for the major funding for the project but we need to show the funders that not only is there terrific local support in writing, but also, financial support from the local community of Loch Goil too. You can ‘Donate’ on the link at the bottom of our Home page – any amount would be very welcome!
