‘In memory of Liz Evans’

A photograph by Steve Lester and a tribute by his wife, Ellie Lester – visitors to the Contemplation Shelter in Cormonachan Woodlands

My husband took this photo when we were walking in the woodlands. It is an emotive and beautiful moment taken in a magical environment. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of Liz Evans. It is so clear that she was an incredibly empowering person who has had a profound positive and enduring impact on all she met. From the tributes, those she knew were proud and lucky to have shared her life and her passion. You have enabled such a perfect tribute for everyone, visitors and yourselves alike to contemplate and wonder on her lasting legacy. The woodlands are simply beautiful and the joy it gives us in sharing this is immeasurable. The red squirrels and other wildlife deserve such a fitting environment to enjoy an uninterrupted safe life. We enjoyed the hide and have left a donation to help you along with your fabulous work. Congratulations and thank you for allowing us to benefit from all your hard work and share your stunning space.
